A few things to know before you reserve your appointment.

Is there a minimum hair length required?
Yes.
Your natural hair and leave-out must be approximately chin-length or longer. No exceptions.
If your hair does not currently meet the minimum requirement, wait until the required length is reached before booking a sew-in.
Can I get a sew-in if my hair is fine or thin?
Possibly.
Fine hair does not automatically prevent you from wearing extensions, but your natural hair must still be healthy and meet the booking requirements.
If your hair is fine but otherwise healthy, review the Alternative Options available during booking to see whether another installation method may better suit your hair.
If you're experiencing active thinning, thinning edges or hair loss, please address those concerns before booking.
Can I get a sew-in if my hair is damaged?
Significantly damaged or compromised hair should receive restorative care before an installation.
If you're experiencing excessive dryness, breakage, shedding or other significant damage, prioritize the condition of your natural hair first.
Once your hair is in a healthier state, return to the eligibility requirements before booking.
Can I get a sew-in if I normally wear braids or other protective styles?
Yes, depending on the condition of your natural hair.
Repeated protective styling can sometimes leave the hair dehydrated or compromised. Healthy natural hair gives us a stronger foundation and generally creates a more polished leave-out blend.
If your hair needs restorative care after removing your previous style, address that first before moving into another installation.
Can I get a sew-in if my hair is chemically treated or colored?
Yes, provided your natural hair is healthy enough for the service.
If chemical processing or color has caused significant dryness, weakness, or breakage, address the condition of your hair before booking.
The Sew In Girl does not provide corrective treatment for chemically compromised natural hair.
Do I need a consultation before booking?
Formal consultations are not required.

Your hair must meet the eligibility requirements for the service you're booking. Review the requirements before reserving your appointment so you know you're ready.
Can I bring my own extensions?
Yes, for eligible services.
For a new installation, outside extensions must be new and unused. Previously installed outside bundles are not accepted for a new installation.
Is hair included with my selected service?
Not every service includes extensions.
Services that include hair will clearly state Hair Included or provide extension selections during booking.
If hair is not listed as included, plan to provide your own eligible extensions.

What types of extensions do you offer?
The Sew In Girl offers a curated selection of Brazilian, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Indian extensions.
Each collection has its own natural characteristics, including texture, density, movement and longevity.
The goal is not to offer every hair type available. The collection is selected around the looks and extension experiences The Sew In Girl specializes in.
How do I know which extensions are right for me?
Start with how you actually wear your hair.
Consider:
- Desired length
- Desired fullness
- Texture preference
- Styling habits
- How often you wear extensions
- Whether you plan to reuse your hair
- How much versatility matters to you
You don't need every option.
You need the collection that makes sense for your routine, your look and the way you wear extensions.
What is the difference between your extension collections?
Each collection offers a different combination of texture, density, movement, versatility and longevity.
The difference is not simply about one being "better." It's about choosing the hair that best complements how you plan to wear it.
Some clients want beautiful extensions for their current install. Others want hair that becomes part of their regular rotation from install to install.
The collections are curated for both.
Do you offer raw hair?
Yes.
Our curated raw-hair offerings include select Cambodian, Vietnamese and other origin-specific collections.
Availability depends on the current collection and texture.
Which extensions do you recommend if I plan to reuse my hair?
For the Sew In Girl who wears her extensions from install to install, our raw-hair collections are designed with repeated wear, versatility, and longevity in mind.
With proper care, your extensions can become part of your regular hair wardrobe rather than hair you replace after every installation.
Will your extensions blend with coarse or 4C natural hair?
Yes.
A polished blend depends heavily on the condition of your leave-out, not simply whether your natural hair is 4C, coarse, fine or somewhere in between.
Healthy, properly maintained leave-out gives us the best canvas.
Damaged or dehydrated leave-out can make maintaining a polished blend more difficult regardless of texture.
From there, the appropriate extension texture and density can be selected for the desired finish.

What textures are available?
Texture availability varies by collection and may include straight, wavy and select curly patterns. Rather than offering every texture imaginable, the selection is curated around the finishes and looks The Sew In Girl specializes in.
What extension lengths do you offer?
Our Signature extension offerings generally range from 18–26 inches.
Select extended lengths may be offered throughout the year. Available lengths will be displayed within the current collection or Hair Included experience.
How do I choose the right extension length?
Think about where you want the finished hair to fall on your body, not simply the number printed on the bundle.
Your height, desired layers, finished style, and whether you plan to wear the hair straight or curled can all affect how the length appears.
Do you offer 30-inch extensions?
Select extended lengths may be offered throughout the year.
When available, they will appear within the applicable collection or Hair Included experience. If the option is not listed, it is not currently available.
How many bundles do I need?
Bundle quantity depends on the length, desired fullness, and finished look.
Our Hair Included experiences are curated with the amount of hair needed to create the intended result, so you don't have to guess.
Can I add a fourth bundle?
Yes, when the selected experience allows it.
If you prefer a fuller finish, choose the additional bundle option while booking so your hair can be prepared accordingly.
Do you offer different densities and fullness?
Yes.
Different origins and collections naturally vary in strand thickness, density, fullness, and movement.
Fullness can also be adjusted with bundle quantity where the selected experience allows it.

Are Sew In Girl extensions prepared before installation?
Always.
Hair provided by The Sew In Girl is prepared before your appointment so it arrives at the chair ready for the experience it was selected for.
How long do your extensions last?
Quality extensions do not have one universal expiration date.
How you cleanse them, style them, protect them at night and store them between installations all influence their longevity.
The goal isn't simply for your extensions to look beautiful on appointment day. We want you to know how to preserve them between installs too.
How many times can your extensions be reused?
With proper care, extensions can be reused for multiple installations.
We've had Sew In Girls wear the same hair for five to six installations before deciding they were ready for something new.
How well you care for your extensions will always influence how long they remain part of your rotation.
Are extensions available in different colors?
Our extensions are primarily offered in their natural color.
Jet Black is available as a customization on eligible Sew In Girl extensions.
Blonde, highlights, and additional color services are not currently offered.
Can I request a specific curl or wave pattern?
Select patterns are available depending on the collection and hair origin.
If a texture is currently part of the collection, it will be available to select.
BOOKING & APPOINTMENT DETAILS
Is a deposit required to book an appointment?
Yes. A deposit is required to reserve your appointment.
Your appointment is not considered confirmed until the required deposit has been received. The deposit is applied toward your service total.
When does next month's calendar open?
Appointments for the following month are released on the 11th of each month.
Check the online calendar for the most current dates and availability.
Is there a waitlist if my preferred appointment is unavailable?
Yes.
When joining the waitlist, include your preferred date and time in the comments.
If an appointment matching your request becomes available, you'll receive one text notification. If you do not respond, your name will be removed from the waitlist and the appointment will be offered to the next client.
Can I change my selected service after booking?
Service-change requests should be submitted within 24 hours of booking.
Changes depend on appointment duration, availability, and preparation requirements. Some changes may require cancellation and rebooking.
Are there additional fees?
There are no hidden fees.
Additional fees apply only when relevant to the appointment, including approved add-ons, additional hair, extra time for shoulder-length or longer natural hair, exceptionally dense natural hair, applicable late-arrival fees, and approved off-hours appointments.
Any applicable fee should be communicated through the booking process or policy before the service is performed.
Do you offer appointments outside regular business hours?
Occasionally, when scheduling permits.
Approved early, late, squeeze-in, or off-hours appointments carry a $150 convenience fee.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Our cancellation and rescheduling terms are outlined in our booking policies. Please review them before reserving your appointment.
